Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use this website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. Israeli Standard 5568 is based on the same guidelines.
What we’ve done
- You can use every page with a keyboard alone, and you can always see where the focus is. A “skip” link jumps straight to the books.
- Images have text descriptions, and decorative parts are hidden from screen readers.
- The departures board on the home page has a readable text version for screen readers, and each destination is a normal link.
- Pages use proper headings, landmarks and descriptive link text. Links that open Amazon say they open in a new tab.
- Text and buttons meet WCAG AA colour contrast, and no information is shown by colour alone.
- The layout fits phones and zoom up to 200% without content being lost or scrolling sideways.
- Animations follow your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
- The site has no sound, video, time limits or pop-ups.
We checked the site with the axe automated accessibility checker and by testing it with a keyboard.
Known limitations
- The review-copy application form is hosted by Google Forms, so its accessibility depends on Google. If it doesn’t work for you, email us your request instead and we’ll treat it the same way.
- The puzzles themselves are visual logic puzzles: grids, floor plans and printed tickets. A screen reader can’t fully read the puzzle pages, including in the PDF review copies.
- Buying a book happens on Amazon’s website, which we don’t control.
